AHRENSBURG, GERMANY - The AVT Certified Vision Software Partner scheme was introduced in November 2008 as a framework for tight co-operation between Allied Vision Technologies and leading image processing solution providers. The goal is still to ensure the highest possible compatibility between AVT cameras, drivers and established third party libraries. The program allows for the exchange of AVT camera models and software licenses, regular information exchanges regarding hardware, firmware, or software updates and close cooperation in development and customer support.

As a consequence of the acquisition of Prosilica by AVT, the product portfolio of the camera manufacturer has been expanded fundamentally to include a wide range of cameras with Gigabit Ethernet interface. Jens Hashagen, Product Manager Software at Allied Vision Technologies’, took the opportunity of The Vision Show 2010 in Boston to expand the scope of the partnership to the full AVT portfolio by supplying key partners with a Manta (G-032C) GigE Vision camera for advanced testing.

AVT’s Certified Vision Software Partners are currently: A&B Software, Cognex, Euresys, The MathWorks, Matrox, MVTec, National Instruments, Norpix, Stemmer Imaging, and Tordivel. In addition, Unibrain will be the 10th partner on board shortly.
