PicSight Smart cameras perform image processing autonomously. By means of an integrated Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface they also enable real-time transfer of images and data at up to 80 megabytes per second. The cameras provide operators with flexibility in terms of development and construction of the desired target system. The series offers two high-performance model options for image processing. The Smart501 model has a 300-megahertz, 32-bit RISC processor with an integrated DSP-kernel for preprocessing of images and 64-megabyte DDR-SDRAM. The Smart702 model is equipped with a 500-megahertz processor, onboard hardware floatingpoint unit and a 128-megabyte SDRAM.
