Manufacturing Technology Consumption Up 8.0% in 2007

MCLEAN, VA—December U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $400.31 million, according to the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association (AMTDA). This makes for a year-end total of $4,261.47 million, pushing 2007 8.0% higher than 2006.

Obituary: Mid-State President Bradley D. Wilson

COLUMBUS, OH—Bradley (Brad) D. Wilson, 61, died February 4, 2008, in Phoenix, AZ, after a brief illness. He had been with Mid-State Bolt & Nut Co. Inc. for 37 years in various positions, most recently as president, since 1996. He was an active member of the National Fastener Distributors Association (NFDA) and served as president of the board of directors from 1984 to 1985. Survivors include his wife Barbara, daughters Erica and Lauren, and one granddaughter.
